As a private LC, I am available to come to you for home visits. I have my own Hospital Grade pumps and Pediatric scales for your use.
I have worked with moms and babies to overcome supply issues, anatomical variations in the breasts and infant oral anatomy, ineffective suck, incorrect latch, twins, health issues for mom and baby, and premature infants. I have learned so much from each of these moms and continue to learn more each day by collaborating with our great community of Lactation Consultants here in the Austin area.
I believe that every mom that wants to breastfeed deserves quality support to help her through what ever problem might arise therefore; I do offer a sliding scale fee for those that are in need of assistance but do not qualify for the services available through DSHS, and will travel to surrounding areas.

In Home Lactation Consultation
An in home lactation visit will include a complete health history for you and your baby, assessment of latch, positioning, breast and infant oral anatomy. Our appointment will be scheuled around your baby's feeding schedule so that I can observe a normal feeding with you and your infant. I use a pediatric scale that is accurate to 2g or .1oz and we will do pre and post feed weights so that we can see exactly how much your baby is transferring from the breast. I will provide assistance and create a care plan for you and your baby based on your individual needs as well as communicate with your PCP or Pediatrician to ensure that your breastfeeding concern is receiving the appropriate attention. I will follow up and ask that you follow up with me accordingly until resolution is achieved. I will also provide appropriate documentation and invoices for those attempting to claim insurance reimbursement*
